Froben tablet contains flurbiprofen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) from the propionic acid group, which also includes ibuprofen. It relieves pain, fever, and inflammation. In this article, you will learn how it works, its uses, side effects, and precautions.
Ingredients
Each 100 mg tablet contains flurbiprofen.
Dosage
For arthritis, doctors usually prescribe 200 mg to 300 mg a day in two to four divided doses. The most a person should take in one dose is 100 mg, and the most in one day is 300 mg. For menstrual cramps, doctors may advise 50 mg to 100 mg at the start of pain, then every four to six hours as needed, up to 300 mg a day. Arthritis relief can take a few days, and full effects can take one to two weeks.
How Does Froben Work?
Flurbiprofen blocks the COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes. These enzymes help the body make prostaglandins, which cause pain, swelling, and inflammation. With fewer prostaglandins, pain and swelling ease.
