Relispa Tablet is prescribed to treat or relieve muscle spasms by preventing an enzyme called Phosphodiesterase. It is useful for reducing pain and discomfort caused by various conditions. It contains Drotaverine, an antispasmodic agent.

How Does Relispa Tablet Work?
Mechanism of Action
This medication works by inhibiting an enzyme called Phosphodiesterase. By preventing Phosphodiesterase enzyme the level of cyclic AMP(Cyclic adenosine monophosphate) increases in muscle cells. Higher levels of cyclic AMP(Cyclic adenosine monophosphate) result in the relaxation of the smooth muscles in the gastrointestinal and urinary tracts and due to this relaxation of smooth muscles Relispa relieves muscle spasms.
What is Relispa Tablet Used For?
Uses:
Abdominal Pain Relief: It reduces pain from muscle spasms in the stomach and intestines. Many patients use it for conditions like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) which is a condition that affects the stomach and intestines and other gastrointestinal issues such as Gastritis and Peptic Ulcers.
Menstrual Pain: Relispa helps alleviate painful menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhea) by relaxing the uterine muscles.
Cyst Management: it is sometimes used to reduce pain related to breast cysts, providing relief from discomfort caused by muscle spasms around the area.
Urinary and Biliary Tract Spasms: It can also relieve pain caused by spasms in the urinary tract or bile ducts.
How to Use Relispa Tablet?
Administration: Take the Relispa tablet with a full glass of water. It can be taken with or without food, but taking it with food may help reduce stomach upset.
Duration: Use it for the prescribed duration. Don’t use it longer than the actual duration as it may cause other health problems.
Dosage
Take it as prescribed by the doctor. Because the dosage may vary from age to age and depends on the strength of your condition. If the condition is moderate the doctor may prescribe a low dosage otherwise high dosage is recommended for severe conditions.
