Introduction

Telfast tablet is an antihistamine medication that is used to treat allergic symptoms such as runny nose, watery eyes, itching, and sneezing. it takes 1-2 hours to start working.

It contains Fexofenadine, which is a second-generation antihistamine.

How does it Work?

It works by blocking a substance known as histamine which is released by cells in the body called mast cells. By blocking histamines it reduces allergic symptoms.

Uses of Telfast tablet

Seasonal Allergic Rhinitis
It is mainly used to relieve symptoms of hay fever. These symptoms include, runny nose, itchy sneezing, watery eyes, and throat itching.

Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria
This medication also treats chronic idiopathic urticaria, helping reduce hives and itching. It’s effective for those suffering from hives with no known cause.

Dosage:

Take it as prescribed by the doctor.

Overdose

If you have taken more than the recommended. Seek medical help.

Missed Dose

If you have taken more than the recommended don’t double it to cover the missed one and if the time to the next dose is far take it as soon as possible.
