Ventolin Syrup Uses and Side Effects

Ventolin syrup is often recommended by the doctors for the patients of Asthma. This syrup is also used to treat many other respiratory conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Ingredients:

it contains salbutamol. Salbutamol belongs to a class of medicines called Bronchodilator.

Dosage of Ventolin Syrup:

 

These are just guidelines for general informaton. Always consult doctor for the correct dosage.

For Adults: 10 to 20 ml

children of 2 to 6 years: 5 to 10 ml

6 to 12 years: 10 ml

for over 12 years: 10 to 20 ml

How it works:

It contains bronchodilators. bronchodilators works by relaxing muscles in the  airways which open up the bronchial tubes. this action make inhaling and exhaling easy.

Uses of Ventolin Syrup:

This syrup is used for the breathing problems which is caused by asthma and Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

As we have mentioned above this syrup falls in the class of medicines known as Bronchodilator. Bronchodilator is a medicine which target the muscles of the airways in the lungs.

Side Effects Of Ventolin Syrup:

Some side effects are:

You may experience headache.

Nervousness and dizziness.

Your heart rate may increase.

Muscles cramp.

Tremor (shaking).
