Introduction Zyloric tablet is used to reduce Uric acid production in the body. It contains Allopurinol as an active ingredient. Allopurinol belongs to a drug class known as Xanthine oxidase inhibitor. High levels of uric acid can cause Gout attacks or Kidney stones. Ingredients It contain Allopurinol as an active ingredient. Mechanism: Zyloric tablet slow down the activity of the xanthine oxidase. Xanthine oxidase is an enzyme that is responsible for converting purines (found in many foods and drinks) into uric acid. By blocking the activity of this enzyme, this medication reduces the production of uric acid, helping to lower its levels in the bloodstream. This, in turn, reduces the risk of gout attacks and other complications caused by excess uric acid.
